Mozartplatz

Mozartplatz is one of Salzburg's most beautiful city squares.  It is situated in the Altstadt district next to the New Residenz building.

At the centre of the plaza is a monument to Salzburg's beloved son, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  The statue was erected in 1842.

Visitors to Mozartplatz (i.e. Mozart Square) can find a comfortable bench and enjoy the chimes from the Salzburg Carillon (Glockenspiel).
