Mirabell Gardens is a formal garden located at Mirabell Palace in Salzburg Austria.
Called "Mirabellgarten" in German, the gardens feature a series of sculptures from mythological characters. They include Hercules, Pluto and Paris.

Several scenes from the musical "The Sound of Music" were filmed at Mirabell Gardens.
For example, the stairs that lead down into the gardens were used in a scene where Maria teaches the Von Trapp children the song "Do-Re-Mi". Watch video.
